Seahawk Blue and Green Smoothie in honor of our big win of the Superbowl. Talk about an exciting day, our own Seahawks going to the Superbowl was exciting enough, then to win made it just that more fabulous. It’s fun to have a Superbowl party and when it’s your city’s team playing and winning, make’s it all that more reason to have party with friends. What did you serve up for your Superbowl party?
I made some of my Olive Tapenade and some vegan Artichoke Spinach Dip it was hard not to eat it all up before our guests arrived. I also served up some birthday test cake, just the benefits of some recipe developing.
In honor of our Superbowl victory, I bring you a blue and green smoothie. Blue Blueberries, ok so they’re kinda purple, mango, green cucumber, our Seahawk green lime and greens, spinach, kale or chard or all three. Nothing like a healthy green smoothie to end the festivities with. Just wish I could serve them to our Seahawk’s guys, that would have made the score even that more larger 🙂
There is something about the taste of lime in a smoothie that just gives it that punch, I love it! Of course you must have the greens and the blueberries, my favorite. The mango, the first of the season, and the cucumber just adds to the freshness, can’t wait till I can be picking the cucumbers, blueberries and greens, fresh from the garden. Eating or drinking plant powered nutrient dense food is so refreshing. Makes me feel like I’m in the tropics a little bit and that Spring is right around the corner. Don’t be afraid to get your Blue and Green Smoothie on for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Even if you’re not a Seahawk’s fan you’re going to enjoy this burst of freshness in a glass.
