Peach Turmeric Smoothie is my new favorite, so refreshing and so good for you.
I’m traveling for the next two weeks, and not getting much time on the blog but trying to squeak this post out, because it is just so good. I really wish I had access to my Vitamix right now so I could whip up one of these. Words will be few, as this time away is meant to be for visiting and spending time with my extended family and that just trumps writing a blog post.
Do you know the healing properties of Turmeric? It is an amazing anti inflammatory, whether it be for joints, sinuses, or inflammation somewhere else in your body, it is a herb that will bless your body with its nutrient dense status. Besides being an anti inflammatory and promoting healthy joint function, it is a potent antioxidant that promotes healthy heart and memory function, and helps with digestion and improves the skin.
Now while I know it isn’t peach season I was fortunate enough to have some peaches in my freezer from last year that I was trying to make a priority to use up. Thus the creation of Peach Turmeric Smoothie. Sadly I am almost out of my organic peaches that I ordered from eastern Washington last August through a fundraiser our local boy scout troop does. My hubby did just buy a peach tree for our yard although I’m sure we won’t get any off it this year I look forward to many seasons of plucking some peaches off my own peach tree. Meanwhile I look forward to another boy scout fundraiser.
Be sure to buy organic Turmeric, whether it be fresh or ground. It is so important to your herbs and spices organic, as is anything we buy, because why waste your money on possible GMO’s and spices and herbs, and produce sprayed with stuff we just shouldn’t submit our bodies to.
So add peaches, banana’s, and turmeric to your grocery list and get started on making this smoothie, be adventurous.
