I know you all must be beginning to think I’m a blogging commercial for Vitamix, I’m not. It’s just my top go to tool in my kitchen and should be at the top of the Necessary Kitchen Tools List. I use it daily if not 2-3 times a day. Don’t believe me, check out all my recipes in the Vitamix category. When it comes to grinding gluten-free flours, it’s a powerhouse. Just pour in the rice or buckwheat groats, gluten-free oats or even quinoa and blend. I usually blend about 2 cups of the gluten free grain that I’m using at a time. In a matter of seconds you have flour. Flour you didn’t have to pay anywhere from $4-11 dollars for a 12-16 oz bag. I like to grind up a few cups at a time and store it in my freezer. It’s there and ready then when I want to make my Buckwheat Pancakes on Saturday morning. It’s also comes in handy when I want to make my own gluten free flour blend. An extremely helpful post on how to make your own flour blend is here. You can make any number of combinations following these guidelines.
Sorry if you’re reading this and you haven’t invested in a Vitamix. Yes, they are an investment but one you won’t regret. If you already own one, well then get busy and start grinding gluten-free flours.
